1. How would you describe your role and responsibilities at 4G Clinical to someone who is not familiar with your work?
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, I’m responsible for helping ensure that the systems we work with are operating smoothly. In line with that, I currently help manage infrastructure and development operations including technical troubleshooting, infrastructure automation and improvement, technical onboarding, and system administration for 4G Clinical.
2. What do you enjoy most about your job at 4G Clinical?
Most of my work is done behind the scenes, some of which are very technical things that front-end users don't really notice or care much for on their end. Due to this whenever there’s someone that reaches out to give positive feedback regarding a fix I’ve helped with or notices an improvement I’ve helped with especially in automation, I always enjoy knowing that I continue to help other people improve their work and productivity as well. On top of that, I really do enjoy and love everything that involves coding and software engineering, so knowing that I have the ability to do what I love while being able to contribute to a great purpose in the clinical trial industry feels very fulfilling especially since I know that what we do in this in this industry is very meaningful to a lot of people that are affected by things that are related to the clinical trials that we help support and maintain.
3. What do you love most about the culture at 4G Clinical that makes it a great place to work?
I’m never afraid to reach out to others when I need to, no matter their role in the company. Whether I have to discuss things with a manager, a newcomer, or a person from a different role or department, it’s always a friendly environment and a productive discussion. I am also constantly amazed at the sheer amount of talent and top-notch skills that our members have, which drives me to be a great member. Combining that all together, it’s like everyone’s always rooting for you and your growth and I believe that fosters such a positive environment for me to work in. Being in the tech industry, it’s inevitable that we’re working in a fast-paced environment but no matter how hectic my work gets, I know I’m in good hands and I know I can deliver.
4. What advice would you offer to someone who is considering applying for a job at 4G Clinical?
Make sure to match your current skill set with our available openings to choose the best opportunity. If you’re open to growth, open to a fast-paced working environment, and want to utilize your skills for a great purpose, then you’re already at a great start!
