Product Manager

As a Product Manager, you work with the agile development team to help shape the roadmap and write requirements for 4G Clinical’s RTSM (IxRS / IRT) product. In this interface role you liaise with project delivery and the strategy department, as well as the clients to understand their needs and help shape the roadmap accordingly. You help define the release schedule, write requirements, ensure communication to relevant stakeholders and enable adherence to the agile process.

Key responsibilities of the Product Manager include the following:

Product roadmap

  • Ensure internal stakeholders and clients can contribute to the roadmap of products
  • Ensure the roadmap of and any changes to each product are transparent to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to ensuring the product grows in accordance with industry trends and innovations

Product requirements

  • Ensure requirements (Acceptance Criteria) are worked out for each story before release, starting with design considerations where appropriate (mockups)
  • Ensure stories and bugs are kept up to date in JIRA with the relevant information for the product development as well as the validation team (SQE)

Documentation and knowledge sharing

  • Create internal release notes for the project delivery team and external release notes for clients
  • Liaise between development and project delivery to ensure relevant product information is documented and shared
  • Become a product expert and support project delivery staff as appropriate, including trainings 

Study delivery – part time Client Services Lead initially

  • To get intimately familiar and receive hands-on experience with the product, act as Client Services Lead, delivering RTSM study builds to clients
  • Develop, implement and oversee the RTSM build as per 4G Clinical SOPs in collaboration with the delivery team

Required experience:

The position requires a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the clinical research field, particularly in eClinical systems implementation and/or product management.

Education and/or certification requirements:

The candidate must possess at minimum a bachelor’s degree in a life sciences, engineering or information technology field, or equivalent experience.

Other skills/requirements:

  • Experience with IRT/RTSM development is highly desired.
  • Product Management experience and/or certification is highly desired.
  • Technical experience and interest are a must; having led or been involved in system development projects, writing requirements and test cases.
  • Experience working with agile development methodology is a plus.
  • Leadership Competencies: Solutions focused, curious, proactive, responsive, organized, highest quality deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required. German, or further languages is a plus
  • Up to 20% business travel, namely for internal company meetings or on-site client visits.
